who we are
Alexandra Caplan
Alexandra (Ali) Caplan grew up in Connecticut, while frequently visiting her family's NYC residency. She graduated in the top of her class from the George Washington University's Communication Program, concentrating in Public Relations. Ali started at We Are Family Foundation as an intern during her last semester there, and after working through the 2013 Gala, WAFF Honors, Summit and TEDxTeen, fell in love with WAFF. After graduation, she inevitably moved to NYC and started full time. Passionate about nonprofit work, organizing events and making our world a better place, she was thrilled. Her past experience includes fundraising for politicians on Capitol Hill, working in the Concert/Events Department for ICM Talent (New York, NY), and working for tourism company in Barcelona while living abroad. Early on she spent her summers working at PBS Connecticut Public Broadcasting and the Village for Families and Children in Hartford, CT. She also spent time throughout school helping to teach multiple courses as a right hand to a few different professors, as well as leading a community service organization.
